Hi! My name is Dana (like, Day-na). My pronouns are she/they. I use them interchangeably. I am a freelance artist and illustrator. I work from my home studio on unceded territory belonging to the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations (aka “Vancouver, BC”). I make most of my work in Photoshop, but I also use pen, ink, oil pastel and various acrylic mediums. A lot of my inspo comes from 80’s and 90’s pop culture, fashion, graphics, vintage children’s books and stickers.
I began attending Fine Arts College in 2007 and eventually transferred to Emily Carr where I had hoped to complete a BA is Visual Arts and move onto an illustration grad program somewhere. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with endometriosis 2016 and that was no longer possible. I was no longer able to attend classes, so I left uni, but I kept making art.
Since then I have worked very hard to create and establish an illustration career for myself. In recent years I have worked with clients such as Google, Microsoft, Blue Q, The Walrus and more.
Let’s work together!
